Michael Anagnostopoulos
Michael Anagnostopoulos made remarkable achievements both in Greece and the USA. He became Director of the Perkins School for the Blind in Boston, MA and taught and cared for Helen Keller. Among other things, he established a financial trust for the education system in Papingo and a marble bust of his likeness can be seen at the school in Papingo.

Foreword
Most of the photos below were taken with either pocket cameras or even disposable underwater cameras, proving that it is almost impossible to take a bad photo in Greece even if one tries.
I will be returning to Greece with a more professional camera to capture more remote and unique areas of the region in the near future. Meanwhile, I hope this imagery will motivate you to visit Greece.
Papingo Old Photo and Sketch Map
Papingo is a great place to call a home base in Greece. It is unique and inspiring. Travel to other regions is scenic by car or plane and easier than ever. These photos are all within a day's drive or a short plane hop away. Ioannina is 38 miles from Papingo and has a major airport.
